David E Salt

David spent over 35 years’ as a leading plant scientist worked in universities in both the US and UK. He is an elected fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

David has now stepped back from being an active full-time university researcher. He is a potter, and produces work at SaltMud Pottery. He is a co-Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor for NuKoKo, and the Chair and a Trustee of the Williamson Trust. He is also a keen runner.

The Williamson Trust is a charitable trust, established in 1987.  

Through a strong belief in "Healthy planet, healthy people" the Williamson Trust promotes the health of individuals, through supporting healthy environments, healthy communities and healthy foods.
